Bottled Water Expansion
A national bottled water organization was looking to further expand its operations into new markets across the United States. However, the company had never performed site selection before and needed assistance identifying ideal locations that would not place them in head-to-head competition with others in the market.
The company engaged Springline to assist in the search. The Site Selection team took the time to understand the new markets the company hoped to reach – as well as the competitive landscape – to make an informed decision on a new expansion site. The location needed to be close to an abundant supply of water while allowing the company to deliver its product nationwide. After extensive research and data modeling, the Springline team chose a site in Texas for the expansion and began negotiating a site package on the company’s behalf.
The team was able to secure a sales tax exemption through the Texas Enterprise Zone Program based on the jobs created by the new plant, along with training dollars to help with onboarding new employees.
